Welcome to my 30 Day Blog Challenge review.
Have you got an offer to start a blog from some stranger online? Do you want to know more about this offer before starting the challenge? Wondering whether 30 Day Blog Challenge is a scam or a real deal?
No worries. You’ve come to the right place to find out the truth.
I’m Ivan and I’m a successful online marketer who went from waiting tables to managing a full-time income online. I have also tried and tested 500+ courses, scams, and all sorts of schemes to find the best way to make money online.
In other words, I’m passionate about making money online and helping you to find legit ways to do so!
While doing one of my researches online, I learned about the 30 Day Blog Challenge. I was following this program online and decided to learn more about it.
So is the 30 Day Blog Challenge a scam or a legitimate blogging course?
In the rest of my 30 Day Blog Challenge review, I will share my views, opinion, and experience with this program. Also, I will share a set of pros and cons and give you an awesome (much better) alternative by the end of this review.
Let’s get rolling. Shall we?
30 Day Blog Challenge Review – Overview
- Product Type: Blogging Course
- Price: Free + Hosting Package
- Product Owner: Leaving Work Behind
- Money-Back Guarantee: Unavailable
- Recommended?: Yes (better alternative at the end of the review)
Overview: 30 Day Blog Challenge is a fairly legitimate training course with which you can learn how to start a blog and make money by writing about your passions and hobbies.
Inside the 30 Day Blog Challenge, you will get access to step-by-step instructions on how to set up a blog, choose a niche, write posts, and even earn an income with affiliate marketing.
The course itself is free. However, you will have to purchase a Bluehost hosting package via the 30 Day Blog Challenge website. You can’t finish the course without completing this step and for some people, this might be a problem and a reason to call the 30 Day Blog challenge a scam.
I’m not one of those people. Actually, I would recommend this course to beginners. However, it is not my #1 recommendation because it lacks quality, tools, and community!
My #1 recommendation is a more comprehensive course that includes all the tools, coaching, help, and support that a beginner needs to start a successful blog.
Thanks to my #1 recommendation, I went from $0 to earning $100’s per day with this blog! Ler more on the next page. Click the button below!

What Is the 30 Day Blog Challenge?
30 Day Blog Challenge is a free training program that helps to start a blog from scratch. The course is not entirely free as there is a catch down the road. But more about it later in the review.
The main idea behind this training is to show you how to register a domain, set up hosting and WordPress, design your site and show you how to use it to write blogs, get rankings, traffic, and more.
With the 30 Day Blog Challenge, you will be learning how to turn your passions into profits. In other words, the creators teach how to choose a niche that you are passionate about and blog about your interest.
My best advice is to choose a narrow topic that has very little competition. This way, you will eliminate lots of competition right from the bat, and make sure that you break through fast.
However, one of the problems with the 30 Day Blog Challenge is that it doesn’t provide the tools needed for this research.
Meaning, you will have to outsource keyword research tools like Jaaxy (my top recommendation) to finish the analysis.
In my opinion, this is a neat course. However, it is far from the best course on the topic of blogging.
Who Created 30 Day Blog Challenge?
The 30 Day Blog Challenge was created by a team of people from LeavingWorkBehind.com. An owner is a man named Vin who has over 10 years of experience creating books, courses, websites, etc.
Since the creators of this course don’t share anything else about them, it’s literally impossible for me to do the same.
However, I do like the fact that they share their names and even appear in front of the camera too. It tells me that this is probably not a scam. Scams always hide the identity of owners.
How Does the 30 Day Blog Challenge Work?
The 30 Day Blog Challenge was designed with the idea to help you to start a successful blog in any niche.
It’s a step-by-step course where you can learn everything from setting up your blog, writing content, getting traffic to monetizing your site to start earning an income online.
Blogging basically means that you will be creating content to rank high in search engines so that people can find your blog and read your posts. But you have to choose a niche first.
This could be something that you love and are passionate about.
Choosing a niche that you’re passionate about is key because you’re expected to write a lot on your blog!
But before you start writing, you need a blog.
Upon landing on the website, you get free access to the first four steps of the 30 Day Blog Challenge course. These steps are beginner-friendly and will help you to set up a WordPress-operated website.
Step 1 – Start Your Blog
The first lesson inside the course is about building a website from scratch. In this lesson of 30 Day Blog Challenge, you will be shown how to choose your niche and create a list of narrow topics to write about.
The narrower your niche is, the faster you can become an authority within the selected niche.
Then, you will be invited to purchase BlueHost hosting. This is the catch.
Once you purchase Bluehost hosting via the links provided, you will get free access to the 30 Day Blog Challenge course, community, and other things that I will talk about later in the review.
Step 2 – Setup Your Blog
This lesson is about setting up your blog once you buy hosting from BlueHost. It’s a simple process. Basically, you will be shown how to:
- create a WordPress account
- give your site a name
- choose a theme
- activate plugins
There is a 12-minute long walkthrough video where all of this will be explained.
Step 3 – Setup Email Marketing For Your Blog
Guys from the 30 Day Blog Challenge focus mostly on email marketing down the road, which is why they recommend starting with it right away.
Basically, they suggest collecting emails and building an email list. This is a powerful way to stay connected with your readers and send them offers, new posts, etc.
Inside this step, you will find a 10-minute long video where you will be shown how to:
- Signup for an email marketing account. (Constant Contact Free trial)
- Set up your first list in the email marketing account
- Set up a subscription form on your blog.
- Hide the disclosure that shows your address in your form.
Step 4 – Design Your Blog
The last step of the 30 Day Blog Challenge setup is to design your blog by installing, activating, and customizing your theme. This is a fun process that anyone can do these days. No coding skills are required.
You will learn how to:
- create custom menus
- use widgets
- customize your about page
- customize contact page
And that is it!
The next step is joining the 30 Day Blog Challenge where you will be learning how to write blog posts, find keywords, SEO your content for better rankings, use images and visuals in your content, and more.
To get started with the challenge, you will have to email your domain name and BlueHost user name to provided email address inside this course so that guys can set you up for the challenge, give you access to the community, etc.
Is the 30 Day Blog Challenge a Scam?
The 30 Day Blog Challenge is not a scam. I have to admit that at first glance, I had a feeling that it might be a scam. However, after going through the content, I didn’t find any red flags or scam warnings.
In other words, it’s a legitimate course. You can learn how to set up a blog, choose a niche, design your site, write content, and more.
However, this is not the best blogging course that I have seen so far. If you’re looking for the best blogging course on the market, my recommendation is Wealthy Affiliate.
With WA, you will get an in-depth blogging course plus one free site, hosting, keyword tool, content writing platform, access to the largest online community of bloggers and marketers, private coaching, technical support, and much more!
This is something that the 30 Day Blog Challenge simply can’t offer. It is just a simple training course that teaches stuff that you can probably find for free on YouTube in a matter of ten minutes.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m not trying to lower the value of this course or say that the 30 Day Blog Challenge is a scam. I’m just saying that it is far from being called the best blogging course today.

Who Is 30 Blog Challenge For?
This course is for anyone interested in starting a blog. The course is designed to help beginners to learn all the basics and get started on the right foot.
I don’t see how this course is for advanced bloggers and marketers.
How Much Does 30 Blog Challenge Cost?
30 Day Blog Challenge is a free course. Well, at least that’s what you’ve been told by the creators of the course. However, there’s a catch that I’ve already mentioned in this review.
The course is usually selling for $389 one time.
But you can get free 30-day access to the entire course if you buy BlueHost hosting using the affiliate links inside the main dashboard. After that, it is going to cost you $39 per month to keep access to the community.
Bluehost offers a few hosting packages ranging from $3.95 per month to $79.99 per month.
However, once you actually decide to buy the hosting, you will be charged three years in advance depending on the package that you’ve chosen.
The folks from the 30 Day Blog Challenge also recommend email marketing autoresponder. However, you can start with their recommended autoresponder for free and it’s not mandatory.
What Do You Get With This Program?
When you sign up to Bluehost through links inside the dashboard, you will get the following:
- Free one month access to 30 Day Blog Challenge course and WordPress for beginners course
- Free one month access to blogger’s community where you can get to meet the bloggers going through the challenge
- The special pricing available for Bluehost (cheaper than direct)
- Automatic install of the correct version of WordPress
- Free Domain for the first year
Do I Recommend a 30 Day Blog Challenge?
As I said earlier in the review, the 30 Day Blog Challenge is a legitimate course for starting a blog. That said, I would recommend it. It’s a decent course that teaches proper methods and techniques.
However, it is not my #1 recommendation for starting a blog making money online. My #1 recommendation is Wealthy Affiliate for all the reasons that I have mentioned in the text above.

30 Day Blog Challenge Reviews
I was glad to see that this course has got some positive reviews. Here are a few examples.
Most reviews online say that the 30 Day Blog Challenge is a legit course. Some people go as far as to say that it is the best course they have ever attended.
I wouldn’t go as far. However, it’s true that it is legit.
But before you get carried away with these glowing reviews, it’s important to show you a few one-star ratings as well.
As you can see, a few users got frustrated with the fact that the course was advertised as free, while on the other hand, they were pressured to purchase the hosting.
I can’t really take any sides here.
However, I am sure that there is nothing illegal in recommending a tool that helps to build a blog. And that’s exactly what the 30 Day Blog Challenge is doing.
What I Like About 30 Day Blog Challenge
One of the things that I like the most about the 30 Day Blog Challenge is the fact that this course is entirely BS and hype-free. In other words, the creators are straightforward and don’t use any deceptive tactics to get you to sign up for the challenge.
The second thing that I like about it is the fact that it teaches about blogging. It is a legitimate and evergreen method for making money online that anyone with a passion or desire for writing can leverage.
Also, with the 30 Day Blog Challenge, you get semi-free access to the course. This allows you to see how this course works, how it is structured, and what costs will be there down the road.
- BS-free website. No hype or exaggerated claims
- Decent training course on blogging
- Beginner-friendly course
- Free access to the first 4 lessons
- Free domain if you buy hosting
What I Don’t Like About It
I think that the execution of the 30 Day Blog Challenge course could be better. Lessons are on point, but some of them seem messy and could use more video tutorials.
Also, I don’t like the fact that you don’t have a choice when it comes to hosting.
Don’t get me wrong. BlueHost is a great hosting service and they are relatively cheap. However, you’re forced to go to them to get access to the entire challenge. This is how owners of the 30 Day Blog Challenge earn extra income.
- Tutorials could be better
- You’re forced to go with BlueHost
30 Day Blog Challenge Review – Conclusion
In conclusion, the 30 Day Blog Challenge is a legit course. I didn’t find any major reasons that could lead me to say that it is a scam. It’s a decent course that could help you to start a successful blog.
In my opinion, blogging is one of the best and most creative ways to start an online business and make money.
It’s a win-win situation. You get to express your passions, share your knowledge, and help others. In return, you get to earn an income from your blog.
Thanks for reading my review. What do you think about it? Do you have any experience with this course? Feel free to share your opinion at the end of this review!

All the best, Ivan. Founder, and CEO @freeaffiliatemarketingbusiness.com
Great detailed article about the “30 Day Challenge.” Although you believe that it is not a scam, it is a rip-off. I have had dealing with BlueHost before and they are as shady as shady can be. Since my site was being hack 3 or 4 times a week, the WordPress protection I had to purchase (WordFence, Akismet, and Sucuri) was unreal. Nonetheless, the mention of Wealthy Affiliate sounds good.
Calling this course a scam because you have to pay for a Bluehost hosting package via the 30-Day Blog Challenge website is an abuse of that term. A person who would see that purchase as a problem simply demonstrates that he or she will never be successful in business. The course is maybe too basic for me, but it seems totally legit. Great article!
Hi Ivan, the 30-day blog challenge does seem to be a legitimate course, but as you point out, it will be for beginners. The creators of the course will be making money from the BlueHost subscriptions, which is how affiliate marketing works. I don’t like the fact that they are not quite upfront with the ongoing monthly costs, and that you will have to pay them the monthly fee to have access to the community, while you are also paying for your hosting.
I agree that Wealthy Affiliate gives you a better package of training and hosting.
I like challenges. And this seems like a fun challenge. Writing articles is not easy. But if one is motivated and manages to go past those initial 30 days, one can pick the habit. I am glad there are several options to learn how to blog. I will also check the option you suggested at the end of this post. Thank you!
Hi Abel, glad this review was helpful!
It seems like something that’s pretty interesting and will benefit me in the long run. I will read more about it and make a decision when I am ready. Thank you so much for this review, you have made my job easier. Also, your website looks very neat. Keep up the good work
Hi Daniel, glad to hear it!
Ivan
Hi Ivan,
Thanks for sharing your review of 30 Day Blog Challenge. It is my first time to know about it.
Although it is legit and offer straight and easy way to set up an online business based from my analysis of what you have written in this post, I get the comparison of what Wealthy Affiliate offers, the affordability of what it offers and the constructive mechanics of its training and programs.
There is no question why Wealthy Affiliate is the #1 recommendation of many people, including me and you.
Hi Rose, thanks for your comment. I agree with your judgement. 30 Day Blog Challenge is a good place to get started online, but Wealthy Affiliate is unparallel when it comes to the training, tools and community! Glad you can see the difference.
Ivan
This is an absolutely amazing 30 Day Blog Challenge Review! You nailed it! I like that the course offers a 30-day long free access to the course and that later you get to choose whether you want to stay on the track. Now if you would clarify for me. If someone wants to sign up and finish the course within these 30 days, will that be possible? I also think it’s not ok to be squeezed and made to think about only one hosting.
However, I will check out the course. Thanks for the recommendation!
Hi Sunny, thanks for your comment on my review. You will have to purchase hosting through their affiliate links to get access to the 30 Day Blog Challenge and community. From thereafter, it’s going to cost you $39 per month to keep the access.
Ivan
The 30 Day Blog Challenge sounds like a really good course for beginners. As it covers all the basics for getting started with blogging I feel it could be invaluable for those completely new to it. Having used Bluehost in the past I can vouch for their excellent service and never had any problems. However, the cost of the course after 30 days free access plus 3 year hosting package with Bluehost works out quite expensive. Your recommendation is far better as you get training, hosting, tools, and a great community
Hi Kathy, thanks for your comment on my review. 30 Day Blog Challenge is a good course for beginners indeed. But I agree with you, my #1 recommendation is a far better option. It’s less expensive and includes all the tools plus help and a comprehensive step-by-step course.
Ivan
Hi Ivan,
The 30 Day Blog Challenge seems a good start for people who like to create a blog to run affiliate marketing businesses, but just like what you said here, there are better options such as Wealthy Affiliate.
I keep wondering if people purchase the BlueHost packages in a three-year advance and their recommended autoresponder services, the product creators will make commissions by people’s yearly subscription fees? If yes, I would rather they provide more choices…
Thanks for sharing today. It’s good to know more about it.
Matt
Hi Matt, thanks for your comment on my review of the 30 Day Blog Challenge. It is a good course for those who are looking for basic understanding and want to start their own blog. But I too prefer and recommend Wealthy Affiliate!
Yes, creators will make commissions from people who buy Bluehost via the challenge dashboard. However, they are 100% open and honest about it right from the start, which is a great thing.
