  1. I’m on Lesson 7, and much gained from all so far. I particularly like that you get to grips with the matter to hand without so much of the waffle beforehand, as in the one where I found you had reviewed and came to you after finishing with them.

I had to go to my UK Amazon and mess around with addresses etc. before I could get to https://affiliate-program.amazon.co.uk/signup. I have three questions now, from Lesson 7.

    1. Websites must be ‘fully developed’. Mine is, up to a point. On Wix, best for authors I believe. Needs a good deal of updating after what you said about sites in Lesson 5. A2 looks very interesting, but I’m reluctant to go there and start a new site, and learn another platform. What is your opinion on that? FYI mine as in the below field. http://charlesbewlay.com./

How do I change the name for my website to something like ‘Publishing academic books?’? I see you saw they can be different to the URL from one of your earlier posts.

    2. My main niche interest is in academic publishing of books, those related to mine. Not a big niche at all, but it’s what I know about. I don’t want to do endless reviews for probably books I may not even read. But I can recommend them via affiliates on my site due to other reviews and stars. I am also highly interested in solar power and grey water, but can find no products relating to these, under Amazon’s ‘Shop by Department’. Any ideas on that?

Looking forward to more of your grea wisdom Ivan.

    • Hey Charles, thanks for reaching out. I’m glad to hear that you’re finding the content helpful, and I appreciate your feedback—I strive to make the lessons as concise and informative as possible. Let’s address your questions:

Regarding your website, it’s great that you have one, even if it requires some updating. Transitioning to a new platform like A2 might seem daunting, especially considering the learning curve involved. While it is aways a good idea to follow this course from scratch, if you don’t want to start a new site, you can try with your old one.

As for changing your website name, I don’t know about Wix websites, but I do know that changing URL is not possible. Once you name and register your website, the URL is permanent. All you can do is start a new website from scratch.

Here is my suggestion. Focusing on academic publishing and related books is a niche with potential, and it’s wise to leverage your expertise in this area. You can use your existing site to explore this niche.

On the other hand, you can start a new website for solar power and grey water niche. While solar power and grey water may not have as many products on Amazon, you can still incorporate affiliate links by exploring related categories or broader topics. For instance, you might look into home improvement or sustainability categories, where you could find relevant products. Additionally, you can consider reaching out to companies directly that offer solar power or grey water solutions to establish affiliate partnerships outside of Amazon. You can find them by typing “Best Solar Power Affiliate Programs” in Google and you’ll get access to tons of private affiliate programs that you can join.

I hope this helps. I’m looking forward to seeing you continue to develop your website and expand your affiliate marketing efforts. Feel free to reach out if you have any further questions or need help along the way.

  2. Hello Ivan,
I’m writing to tell you about a problem I’m encountering.

I have bought the start up pack from A2 Hosting, then logged into the cPanel and done everything in the fourth lesson in regards to setting up my own website with A2 Optimized WordPress by Softaculous.

Unfortunately though, when I logged in as an admin for the second time, I couldn’t see the changes I’ve done to my website when I clicked on the ‘visit website’ button.

    Please help me

    • Hey Constantine, first off, congratulations on taking action and setting up your website! Regarding the visibility issue you’re facing, it’s related to the caching system and is easily fixable. Log into your WordPress admin area and click on the “Clear Site Cache” link in the top right corner (see image below). Then, try visiting your website again, and your changes should be visible.

    • Hey Mamie Bond, you didn’t do anything wrong. It looks like you need to install WordPress – A2 Optimized manually. Just click on Blogs –> WordPress-A2 Optimized. Then, click on the Install tab and then Quick Install (see image below). Choose your domain from the dropdown below (if not chosen automatically). Then, set up your Username and Password for WordPress and click on the Install button below. Once the WordPress is installed, you can continue 👍

  4. Was looking into Amazon’s affiliate program was wondering if u had a problem with the 180 days getting a sale I’ve heard it takes 6 months to a year to get traffic through seo so how is it possible to get sales in 5 months?

    Reply
    • Hey Chad, it typically takes 6 to 12 months to generate significant traffic and start earning a full-time income. However, it’s entirely possible to secure at least three sales within 180 days while you’re working towards that full-time income goal. Traffic from seo is not going to magically unlock after 12 months. It starts slowly after only a month or two, and increase slowly as you generate more content on your website. During this period I’ve consistently achieved those three sales by implementing the strategies from my training.

  5. Hi Ivan,
I have bought new domain name which suits my niche affiliate website. However, when I signup up to become an Amazon Associates, I signup using different domain name (nexwebiz.com) so my store ID is based on that name. I see there’s a function to “edit/add website, mobile app, and Alexa skill list”. Can I edit and add my new website with a new domain name there? Will the store ID change for that domain name? Is the Qualifying Purchase timeframe based on the new website added?
Or I should do the signup all over again for my new website? I appreciate for your help regarding this. Thanks in advance.

    Rozita

    Reply
    • Hi Rozita, You can edit and add your new website with the new domain name in your Amazon Associates account. When you do this, your store ID will remain the same. If you want to sperate two websites with two different IDs, you can do that in your Associates dashboard.

The Qualifying Purchase timeframe will stay the same because it is counted on the account level, not website level.

There’s no need to sign up again for Associates Program with your new website. Just add it to your existing account to avoid complications.

I hope this helps.Let me know if you need any further help with this process!

  6. Hi Ivan,
I published my third post :-). So, as I am very excited, I’m checking my site when ever I have the opportunity, just too see does it look good, can I do better or improve something etc.
When I click on Buy on Amazon, it take me to my page on Amazon, so I wonder does this happens to all visitors when they click on that part, I mean does visitors see only the product or they can see my whole affiliate site?
    Am I doing right?
    Thank you

    Reply
    • Hi Kostadinka, congratulations on publishing your third post! It’s great to hear about your excitement and dedication to improving your site.

Regarding your question about the “Buy on Amazon” link, it’s important to ensure that visitors are directed to the correct page on Amazon when they click on it. Typically, clicking on such a link should take them directly to the product page on Amazon. This allows for a seamless transition and enhances user experience.

To double-check if this is working correctly for all visitors, I visited your website (https://essentialprincess.com/), clicked on your affiliate links, and I landed on the corresponding product page on Amazon, which is exactly what should’ve happened. That said, from my end, your links work 👍

Keep up the good work, and don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any more questions or need help!

Thank you for this program. I wonder if you know, have any research or know from obserwvation of your students, how much time it takes to see success? Predominantely I need to know how much time daily I should devote to study and then apply the knowledge to see success. Perhaps someone already asked that question and there is answer somewhere.
    Thank you

    • Hey Tomasz, as I said in one of the comments below, most people start seeing resutls within 3 to 6 months of starting the course. In my personal experience, it took me 3 months to earn my first dollar online, but by month 6, I was making consistent commissions, and was nearly full-time by the first year.

  8. Hi Ivan, thank you so much for your support!
Google search Console send me this email:
“There’s a new reason preventing your pages from being indexed.

Search Console has detected that there are pages on your site that aren’t being indexed due to the following reason:

    Excluded by a “noindex” tag.

If this reason is unintentional, we recommend that you correct it so that your pages can be indexed and appear on Google.”

    Should i correct this?

    Reply
    • Hey Pablo, the reason why Google sent you this email is that some of your website pages are not being indexed due to a “noindex” tag being present. This tag essentially instructs search engines not to include those specific pages in their index, which can affect the visibility of those on Google.

There are a few “background” system pages and files in WordPress that are tagged with “noindex” tag by default and that is perfectly ok. That said, you don’t need to act on this email. Google sends it to all new WordPress websites because it doesn’t know whether or not these pages are valuable or not. In this case, you should leave everything by default.

    • Hey Jay, on average, those who start earning money typically see their first commissions within the first 3 to 6 months after beginning the course.

The first month is typically your foundation building stage. In order to build a website that earns you consistent revenue, you need this foundation. After this, you are going to start seeing traffic and as you build this out, the commissions will follow.

Personally it took me into my 3rd month of busting my butt to make my first dollar online, by month 6 though I was making consistent income and by the year mark, I was almost full time.

1.I have lots of hobbies and passion, when I tried to find my niches those item I found are only in low price. there is none of them that is as high as the dijital cameras or the coffee machines.
Is it Ok or i have to find something else.
    2. the Amazon website asked me where to delivery to. Can i put any country or it has to be where i live? I found out when I buy something from them sometimes they do not delivery the item I want to buy to my country. I hope the buying system and the affiliate program are working differently.
    Thanks

    • Hey Bun, I’m glad you found the lesson helpful!

      To address your questions:

Your niche doesn’t necessarily have to revolve around high-priced items like digital cameras or coffee machines. What matters most is finding something you’re genuinely passionate about and can create valuable reviews around, whether it’s a low-cost hobby or a high-end product. Pick something you are passionate about.

Regarding Amazon’s delivery options, you typically need to specify the country where you live. Sometimes there are restrictions or limitations based on the product or your location. As for the affiliate program, the buying and affiliate systems operate independently, so your location shouldn’t affect your ability to participate in the program.

I hope this helps clarify things for you! Let me know if you have any further questions or if there’s anything else I can help you with 👍👍

Make sure your website content is engaging, informative, and relevant to your target audience. Don’t forget to use keywords related to the products you’re promoting to improve search engine visibility. Remember, consistency is key. Keep creating valuable content, engaging with your audience, and optimizing your website. 90 days is a lot of time and I’m sure Google will give you a chance during this time. What I have to do, to be seen my post when I just open the web site?

    Thank you,
    Kostadinka

    Reply
    • Hey Kostadinka, first off, congratulations on publishing your first post! Here’s to many more! Secondly, all WordPress websites are set by default to show your latest posts on your home page (the one that you see when you click on your logo). So there is nothing wrong with your site. As soon as you publish your second post it will show up above your first one. The next one will be above the second, and so on. As you keep publishing posts, all your posts will be visible to your visitors from your home page. I hope this answers your question. Now, I don’t have any videos on advanced website design so if you want to create a separate page for your posts (Blog page) and customise your home page with something else, let me know via email and I’ll send you some valuable YouTube videos.

      • Thank you for your answer and great wishes, Ivan. I have tried to find something on YouTube, to make my website with the concept, as I plan to sell a few products from Amazon, so that they can be categorized, if you understand me.
Products connected with my niche, but maybe it is better if I focus on making good posts, and after that, I will try to find a way to solve this technical issue….

        Reply
        • First off, it is not a technical issue. It’s just a lack of design and custom structure. That’s an easy fix and I recommend getting to it when you have at least 50 or so very good posts on your website. It’ll be much easier to categorize your site and create a custom design on your home page and menus.

    • Hey Chad, I don’t have any recommendations for free keyword research tools. My preferred choice is KWFinder. You can subscribe for just one month and thoroughly explore your niche, jotting down or organizing all the keywords you discover. After that, you can cancel the subscription until you need it again. I hope this suggestion helps. Let me know if you have any further questions.

    • Hey Derek, in theory, the domain name and website name should be identical. However, I’ve seen many cases where the domain name is an anagram of the business name. For example, domain would be bsc .com and the website name Billiards Cue Shack. Essentially, the difference in one letter shouldn’t cause any issues for you or your users in the future so no worrie.

        • You’re welcome, Xandra. Feel free to post reviews on your blog daily, covering various products within the coffee niche. The more you post, the greater your chances for success. My advice is to begin slowly, focusing on a specific sub-niche within the coffee market, such as coffee machines. Take your time to develop your reviewing skills and become proficient at creating helpful, informative, and high-quality reviews, following the instructions provided in the training. Start by publishing one review per week until you feel confident enough to increase your pace. Then, gradually ramp up your posting frequency to one post per day and expand into other sub-niches within the coffee industry, such as coffee beans, etc. I hope this plan makes sense. Let me know if you have any further questions.

  27. Hi Ivan,

My name is Noel Griffin and I joined your FAMB Amazon Affiliate Marketing course on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 and I have a question about joining the Amazon Associates program…

Can you sign up for this program even though your website is brand new and has no visitor stats yet? I have heard from others that it is advised to have a few pages of content and some traffic before applying for it.

Can you please clarify the best way because I do not want to jeopardize my Amazon Associates program before I even get started!

Thank you in advance for your help and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

    Regards,

    Noel Griffin

    Reply
    • Hey Noel, you can join the Amazon Associates program right now, even if your website is brand new.

Here’s the deal: you’ve got 180 days to make three sales and fully activate your Amazon Associates account. If you don’t hit that target in time, Amazon will cancel your account, and you’ll need to create a new one with a different email address.

The good news is that my course is built to help you make those three sales (or more) within 180 days (or less). I’ve done it myself many times, so I know it’s achievable.

But if you’re worried about your account, you can take a different approach. Start by building your website and creating content. Once your site starts getting clicks, then join the Associates program. Add affiliate links to your content and give it a little time to make those three sales. Let me know what you decide.

  34. The niches that I’m interested in either aren’t searched that much or aren’t that profitable, so I guess I just pick one that is? or is there some trick to it?

    Reply
    • Hey Timothy, first, don’t stress it too much. Choosing a niche involves finding a balance between your interests and its potential for profitability. While it’s important to consider search volume and profitability, it’s also crucial to count in your passion and expertise in the niche. Sometimes, niches with lower search volumes can still be lucrative if they have a highly engaged audience willing to spend money. Any you can find this out only through experience. Ultimately, passion and dedication can play a significant role in your success within a niche. And don’t forget, your first niche will not be your last! You can look at the data as much as you want, but sometimes you just have to dive in with both feet and measure results in real time. I hope this helps. Let me know if you have questions 👍

    • Hey Michelle, no problem at all! It’s great to hear you’re enjoying the course and already have a nice idea in mind. Here’s a suggestion: you could become an affiliate for both Amazon and the products directly. That way, you can include links to both in your content and let your visitors choose. Sometimes people prefer buying from Amazon, while other times they might prefer going to the manufacturer’s page through your links. Regarding the second niche, I’d suggest launching a completely new website for Nutrition Wellness. Hope that makes sense! Feel free to reach out if you need more advice or have any questions!

When you showed us how to Preview the content in the website, your website opened easily, but mine does not open. When I click Preview on a new tab, a page appears with the WordPress logo running, but nothing appears. When I hover on the micoffeden, which is my website that appears in the left top corner of the dashboard, and right-click on the “Visit Site” as you guide, and then I click on “Open in a new tab”, still my website does not show. Yet when I click on Posts, my Jura E8 Review appears in the draft, and when I click on Pages, those three important pages also appear as published. So what could be the problem with my website not appearing where it was supposed to appear?

    • Hey Jose, thank you for your kind feedback on my program. It means a lot to me that you’re enjoying it. However, I’m genuinely sorry to hear that you’ve hit a snag with it. I noticed you haven’t been active on your website (cameraglow.com/) since January, which is a real shame considering the great work you were doing up until then! What’s holding you back from continuing your efforts?

I definitely encourage you to keep pushing forward with your site. But, of course, I understand that life can get in the way sometimes, preventing us from maintaining consistent progress. If you’re considering cancelling and deleting your website, you can do so through the A2 Hosting dashboard. Just head to Services -> My Services, click on Manage, and then select Request Cancellation from the left-hand sidebar.

Still, I want to emphasize that even if you can’t commit to consistent work, any progress is still progress. It would be a shame to let all your hard work go to waste. Plus, I truly believe your site has immense potential that shouldn’t be overlooked. Just think about it.

                • You’re welcome, Zodwa. Congratulations on completing your first review! Here’s to many more! I just finished reading your review and I have to say, good job for your first one. I like the table, the images, the pros and cons section especially are helpful. For a debut review, you’ve nailed it. It’s well-written, thoroughly researched, and packed with helpful info.

That said, there’s always room to grow. Your review is solid, but it could benefit from a bit more depth. Think about expanding on aspects like display quality, performance, and any standout features. I would suggest updating the current review. Don’t rush it. Make sure that your first one is superb and that you develop the skills and the process first.

Once you feel 100% good about the first review, and your skills, then simply keep pushing on with more reviews. This way, your reviews will be superb right from the start. In other words, spend some time sharpening the axe first. It may seem daunting, but it is going to pay off in the long-run. And feel free to send me your updated first review as many times as you want before moving on.

  58. It has taken a long time to build my review site mainly because I have been distracted by some family problems which I have had to sort out. This has resulted in my failing to achieve three sales in 180 days , so my account has been closed by Amazon Associates. As you can see it is now completed and I am now able to add reviews on a regular basis. My question is ‘Should I wait until I have a few sales before reapplying or reapply straight away?’ What is the best way to gain sales with this product? Many thanks in advance.

    Reply
    • Hey Ian, I’m glad to hear that you’ve completed your review site despite the challenges you’ve faced. I understand how family matters can divert our attention, but it’s commendable that you’ve managed to overcome those hurdles.

Regarding your question about reapplying to the Amazon Associates Program, my suggestion would be to reapply straight away. Since your site is now up and running with regular reviews being added, it’s a good time to take action. Waiting until you have a few sales might prolong the process unnecessarily, especially when your site is ready to generate traffic and sales.

Now, here are a few strategies to boost sales on your review site.

First, ensure your reviews are thorough, informative, and unbiased. People rely on reviews to make informed purchasing decisions, so providing valuable content is crucial. Refer back to the training if necessary.

Also, implement effective SEO techniques to improve your site’s visibility on search engines. This includes using relevant keywords, optimizing your content with images, etc (as shown in my training).

Lastly, consider creating comparison articles where you compare similar products available on Amazon. Highlighting the pros and cons of each product can help potential buyers make informed decisions and could improve your conversion rates and help you make more sales.

If you want, I can send you advanced training in your email. In these lessons, I discuss advanced techniques for growing your website’s traffic and revenue. Let me know!

      • Hi Ivan

        • You’re welcome. No worries, Ian, they won’t turn you down. Feel free to apply to the Associates program again whenever you want. Once you’ve got those 3 sales under your belt, your account will be good to go for the long haul.

    • Hey Carmel, you’re welcome. I’m glad to hear that. Regarding your question, absolutely! You can set up as many websites in different niches as you’d like. However, I do recommend starting with one website and focusing on it until it begins to generate some revenue. After that, you can venture into another one using the same blueprint but in a different niche. That’s the beauty of affiliate websites!

  64. Thanks Ivan for training. ? After we have completed everything in steps for our review page, and its ranked. How do we know its staying ranked or do we still need to add tags for faster results of our website eventually being seen sooner or later?

    Reply
    • Hey Kendra, you’re welcome. Once your review is ranked, it will maintain its position for a while, allowing Google to gather performance data about your page. If it performs effectively—meaning people are clicking on your website more frequently than others, staying on your page longer, etc.—it will boost your rankings. In such a scenario, you won’t need to take any action except perhaps refreshing the content annually. However, if its ranking drops, it indicates that your content isn’t resonating well with Google users, and you’ll need to revisit and improve it to regain traction. That’s the gist of it. I hope this clarifies things. Let me know if you have any further questions.

    What should I do?
    Thank you

    Reply
    • Hey Kostadinka, feel free to review those products too. It might be that KWFinder simply doesn’t have data on them. I’ve often reviewed products with no search volume, only to discover that people are searching for the review once mine ranks number one on Google. Lesson 7 aims to help you find products that match the metrics worth your time and effort. However, it’s important to eventually review all products in your niche. Begin with those that are easier to rank for (Green and Light Green) as your new website will achieve faster rankings for those keywords. Then, you can move on to Orange and Red products. Hopefully, this all makes sense. Let me know if you have any more questions.

In video lesson 10 do you just copy the information off of Amazon page, like description, and other information that you added to the review.

    Thanks William

    Reply
    • Hey William, thanks! To answer your question, no. You can’t just copy stuff from an Amazon page or any other site for that matter. The idea is to research the product, get your own insights and perspective, and share them in your review. Avoid copying content from other sites; that’s a road to failure. You can however, copy general information about the product such as weight, color, features, etc.

Then navigate to cPanel and scroll down until you see the Security section. Click on the SSL/TLS Status icon. Then, set up your Username and Password for WordPress and click on the Install button below. Once the WordPress is installed, you can continue 👍

    • Hey Tovey, the main objective of this training is to teach you how to become an affiliate and concentrate on promoting products from and to the US Amazon market. You can do it from South Africa without any concerns.

  71. Hi Ivan,
I have set up my website and when I try to get into it, I get this message,

    Your connection isn’t private
Attackers might be trying to steal your information from yourelectronicuniverse.com (for example, passwords, messages, or credit cards).

What do I need to do

    • Hey Cathi, that’s because your SSL certificate isn’t active yet. You get one for free with A2 Hosting, and sometimes it takes a few hours, up to 24 hours, for it to activate automatically. You can speed up the process manually by following the next steps. Go to A2 Hosting.com and log in. Then navigate to cPanel and scroll down until you see the Security section. Click on the SSL/TLS Status icon. On the next page, make sure to select all the checkboxes and click the “Run AutoSSL” button to manually activate your SSL certificate and secure your site. This should work. Let me know how it goes!

      • Hey Tovey, there are just three things you gotta invest in to get this training going. You’ll need a domain name for your website, which costs around $15 a year. Then, you’ll need hosting for your website, starting from $2.99 a month. And finally, you’ll need a keyword research tool, starting at $29 a month. Hope that helps! Let me know if you have more questions.

    • Hey Kendra, you can do this with any product or service that has an affiliate program. Whether it’s Amazon, ClickBank, or even standalone affiliate programs for companies like Nike or Apple. Congrats on reaching lesson 4! Keep pushing forward! To answer your second question, once you have everything set up, you should start posting content regularly as I recommend in Lesson 14 (90-day challenge). During the first three months, you should start seeing results, hence the challenge. Then, it’s just a matter of scaling with more content. I hope this answers your questions. Let me know if you have more!

  73. I reached the final but after saving my drafts, adding links, my preview was blank and all pages were showing nothing. It’s not easy for a beginner but managed to get to the last training although I have quit, it took a lot of time and then all the blog lost. Anyway thanks

    • Hey Charity, this sometimes happens only when you’re previewing your post. Just click on the “Clear Site Cache” link in the top right corner (refer to the image below) of your WordPress dashboard and give it another go. If it happens again, simply clear the cache and you’ll be good to go.

Select the checkbox to overwrite all files and continue”

  75. Hi Ivan,

I’m on lesson 4, after clicking Blog then WordPress – A2 Optimazed, and landing on the page with install, overview, features and the rest, when I scroll down, my link or admin is nowhere to be found. Can’t proceed and support pages are not helpful.

    Regards

  76. This KWFinder would have been very helpful BEFORE I invested in my domain name and my niche….I put in all that work for nothing. It’s saying that it’s possible but it’s in the orange. Please message me and tell me if my niche is even a good idea…..

    • Hey Jennifer, don’t worry. You didn’t choose the wrong niche. I’m sure there are products in your niche that match the metrics from the KWFinder lesson. You just have to search for them. Keep in mind that you can target ALL products in your niche regardless of what KWFinder says. The only difference between green and orange or red keywords is that you’ll achieve faster rankings for green keywords because there’s less competition for those. That’s why I suggest starting with green keywords. But you WILL get ranked for all keywords despite the difficulty. So my advice is to scrape your niche for green keywords and prioritize them, no matter how many you find. Then, simply continue reviewing other products that have a slightly higher difficulty (orange, and even red). Does that make sense? Let me know if you have any questions.

    • Hey Dezi, I wouldn’t recommend using free domains. Using free domains for your online business can be really bad for a few reasons. First, free domains often lack credibility and professionalism, which can make customers not trust you. Also, they usually don’t let you customize your website much, so you can’t really make it your own. From a search engine perspective, free domains are usually connected to low-quality or spammy websites. This means that search engines will rank other, more trustworthy sites higher, which can make it hard for people to find your business. So, it’s really important to invest in a proper domain to have a trustworthy online presence and improve your SEO.

    • Hey Dezi, feel free to use any site you prefer. By using A2 Hosting links from the course, you’re helping to keep the course free for everyone. But if you’d rather use other services, go ahead.
