Is PM-International a Scam?
In my review, I want to clarify that PM-International is not a scam. However, it is important to note that they operate using a recruiting model, which some might consider borderline pyramid scheme-like.
One of the reasons why PM-International receives scam allegations is because they do not provide an income disclosure declaration. This lack of disclosure makes it difficult to determine the source of their earnings, whether it is mainly derived from their employees, auto-shipments, or retail clients purchasing products.
The absence of an income disclosure likely stems from the possibility that people are losing money in this venture. Even if the company itself is legitimate, the multi-level marketing organization seems to be oversaturated and highly competitive.
The high cost of their products, coupled with the MLM’s overall reputation, makes it challenging to market PM-International products and recruit new members.
In my opinion, this company does not bring anything innovative to the market. It is just one of the many companies in this niche, similar to Mary Kay or Young Living.
The remaining sections of this PM-International MLM review will help shed light on key aspects you should be aware of, empowering you to make an informed decision.
What Is PM-International?
PM-International is a multi-level marketing firm that offers a wide range of health and wellness supplements, personal care items, and cosmetics.
Previously known as P.M. Cosmetics, the company focused solely on cosmetics and make-up. However, due to increased production, they underwent a name change.
In addition to their extensive product selection, PM-International also provides an opportunity to earn money through their MLM program.
PM-International is one of Europe’s largest MLM companies in the health and beauty niche. According to their website, they’ve already distributed products to over 40 countries, with an annual turnover of €833 million.
But is PM-International a legitimate MLM? Should you join? Or is it a scam pyramid scheme?
Keep reading my review to find out more.
Who Created PM-International?
The company, founded by Rolf Sorg in 1993, claims that he initially worked as an auto mechanic before discovering his talent for recruiting.
Back then, he could enlist 10 individuals per month.
Soon after, he realized that he could make more money by hiring people instead of being a technician, so he embarked on a journey in the network marketing industry.
Rolf Sorg, the founder of PM-International, was chosen as a finalist for “Business Owner of the Year” multiple times. In 2005, he was selected to be part of the European Economic US Senate.
He is also a CEO Council member for WFDSA, the World Federation of Direct Selling Organizations. Not only the founder but also the company itself has been recognized and awarded over the years. Here are some of the accolades received by the firm…
- Ranked 13th in the 2020 DSN Global 100: The Top Direct Selling Companies in the World
- From 2002 to 2020, PM-International was part of the TOP 100 recognizing innovators in medium-sized enterprises in Germany
- In 2013/14, 2018/19, chosen as “Company of the Year by Netcoo, a German trade magazine
- In 2018 and 2019, got the German Brand Award for being outstanding in brand management

Is PM-International a Pyramid Scheme?
PM-International is considered to not be a pyramid scheme because members earn money through product sales and recruiting new members.
However, it is important to note that PM-International is still a multi-level marketing company, which means that success relies on effective recruitment strategies.
In fact, recruiting tends to generate more income than product marketing, which some may perceive as a pyramid system in disguise.
Before determining if PM-International fits the criteria of a pyramid scheme, let’s first explore what exactly defines one.
What Is a Pyramid Scheme?
According to Wikipedia, a pyramid scheme is a business model that recruits members by promising payments or services in exchange for enrolling new members into the scheme, rather than providing investments or product sales.
To learn more, you can check out the short video below:
From the video above, it is evident that the constant need to attract new members plays a crucial role in a pyramid system.
However, why do so many people consider PM-International to be a pyramid scheme? One reason is that representatives can earn commissions by selling their products.
Additionally, individuals can make money by recruiting a large number of people into the multi-level marketing plan.
This is the primary reason why some people refer to it as a pyramid scheme in disguise.
Is PM-International a Pyramid Scheme in Disguise?
As I mentioned in my review, PM-International is not a pyramid scheme or scam. They offer commissions based on the sales you and your registered individuals make.
However, there are no direct repayments just for recruiting others. To clarify, PM-International is a legitimate company that sells real products.
That being said, whether you consider PM-International a pyramid system depends on your perspective of such schemes.

The “BeautyLine” product line offers a variety of anti-ageing and skincare items.
According to the company, all products are made with natural ingredients and processed using gentle manufacturing methods to ensure maximum purity.

Are PM-International Products Safe?
PM-International prides itself on a distinct formula known as the Nutritional Transport Concept (NTC), which claims to be a delivery system for nutrients.
However, there is no third-party research verifying the effectiveness of this “unique formulation.”
It’s important to note that the FDA does not require nutritional supplement companies to obtain premarket approval, so they cannot provide any guarantee.
FDA’s enforcement efforts are conducted after a product is already on the market. Similarly, PM-International provides no evidence of analysis with the European Medicines Agency, which primarily focuses on the inclusion/exclusion of nutrients in supplements.
Overall, PM-International products are generally considered safe, as my extensive research did not uncover any reports of side effects from customers.
However, more information will be provided in my PM-International Review.

How Does PM-International MLM Work?
In my review, I specified that PM-International is a multi-level advertising company. You have the option to sign up (for a fee) to sell their products directly to consumers and earn compensation.
Additionally, you can earn bonuses by building a sales team and benefiting from their sales. There are also smaller incentives based on individual sales and team performance.
Unfortunately, this type of marketing often leads people to associate PM-International with a pyramid scheme.
As I mentioned in my review, PM-International is not a scam pyramid scheme; it is a legitimate advertising and marketing business.
Even if you don’t want to build a sales group, you can still earn by reselling their products to the public.

How To Make Money With PM-International MLM?
As PM-International operates as an MLM, there are two fundamental avenues to generate income with the company:
- Selling products
- Recruiting members

However, it is worth mentioning that earning these bonuses requires a significant amount of time and effort.
To learn more about the benefits available to you, please refer to the compensation plan section of this PM-International review.

If you want more information, here’s a video explaining the compensation plan.
Earlier, as mentioned, you will also be rewarded with bonuses. Here is a brief overview of the same…
- Retail Commission Bonus:
PM-International offers three retail commission amounts that you can earn by purchasing a wholesale-priced item and selling it at retail. Additionally, you can earn an extra 40% commission when you are enrolled in a 100 PV monthly auto-ship and achieve at least the Manager rank. - Top Retailer Bonus Commission:
This bonus is based on the Group Volume (GV) you generate. If you produce 2,500 GV, you will receive 3% of your team’s retail sales each month. Alternatively, if you produce 5,000 GV, you will receive 5%. - Recruiting Commission Bonus:
PM-International provides Pool Packs, and selling one of these packs can earn you a $60 commission. Furthermore, an additional $60 will be rolled up to a Manager ranked affiliate above you. However, if you hold the Manager or a higher rank, you will receive the entire $120. - Residual Commission Bonus:
PM-International offers a residual bonus based on the monthly auto-ship orders from all team members in your uni-level compensation structure. Your payment will be determined by a percentage of the sales volume generated in one leg. - Rank Achievement Bonus:
This is a one-time bonus awarded to International Marketing Managers and higher-ranking affiliates who meet the qualification criteria.
Can You Make Money With PM-International MLM?
In network marketing, there is a stronger emphasis on recruiting than product marketing.
However, if you are excited to start and believe that you will be running your own business, I suggest that you reconsider.
While you do earn commissions from sales of PM-International products, it is much easier to earn commissions from signing people up.
Essentially, you can earn passive income by simply waiting for your downline members to place their orders, without the need to sell products directly to consumers.
However, it’s important to note that the business model of online marketing is not sustainable in the long term. Eventually, you will exhaust your pool of potential recruits.

PM-International Reviews and Complaints
To determine the legitimacy of PM-International, reading online testimonials is an effective approach. Most reviews focus on the company’s products, which are generally well-received.
PM-International has received positive ratings of 4.2 (out of 5) on TrustPilot, 4.8 (out of 5) on Facebook, and 4.0 (out of 5) on Glassdoor.
In summary, working with this company brings satisfaction to many individuals.
Here are a few examples:
Positive Reviews
- I felt low on energy and always ended the day without strength. I used a lot of energy drinks with taurine and I was forbidden by the doctor to continue taking these drinks. When I started taking FitLine’s Activize Oxyplus I felt good energy again and at night I didn’t feel so tired. I showed the product to my doctor and he also started taking it.
- 100% satisfied! A revolution for my life as I was waking up already tired, was with fatigue all day and could barely arrive at the end of the day….but had discovered the fit line product thanks to my friend Cira S, I now can say I live my life in full, thanks to the restorative taken in the evening I wake up very rested and after my power C of the morning, I have the energy to go through my day! Thanks are not enough.
Negative Reviews
There is a small percentage of negative PM-International reviews online, to be honest. The few that exist refer to their stingy MLM program and negative work environment.
Here are some examples…
- Very stingy commission pay very low percentage. You always have to sign up new people. You will never rest always have to register a new Team Partner. And you will be very disappointed when you will work so hard all month and at the End of the month, you will just get $200 the most! If you are an MLM pro then maybe you will succeed, but if you are a simple person and don’t have a huge group of people to bring them here -you will be very disappointed.
- If you are an MLM agent/salesperson, you may be able to get recognition and a decent income. In case you are considering working for them in ad administrative role, especially in Schengen, you need to be very tough. Management is basically the owner and his friends with no educational background. They only accept yes men. Public humiliation and discrimination are part of everyday as well as sexual harassment. If you are a woman, do not wear skirts, pic may be taken under it with a cellphone, just for example. Huge employee turnover, the rest is going on “sick leave” to survive. The pathetic house rules like the coffee ban and no jeans are just the icing on the cake. No chance for personal or professional development either. Coworkers are scared, frustrated, and always ready to push you under the bus just to save themselves. I have never seen a more toxic environment in my life. Do not get misled by the positive reviews, especially on review sites. But I think it is bloody obvious that those ones on the “green one” are not reviews but adverts.
As you can see, consumers are happy with the product, while workers are unhappy with the company.
This serves as proof that PM-International is not a scam. If people are generally satisfied with the company’s products, it indicates a demand that distributors can fulfil.
However, I cannot overlook the complaints regarding MLM in my PM-International review.
PM-International Review – What I Like
Well-Established MLM Business
PM-International was launched in 1993, which means they have been in business for over 20 years.
This is quite remarkable for a multi-level marketing company, considering their typical lifespan is only 3 years. Despite facing intense competition, PM-International has maintained its presence.
This indicates that their years of service have not been in vain. They have successfully built a loyal customer base that continues to make purchases.
Profitable Compensation Plan
The PM-International payment plan offers numerous benefits. These include a sign-up bonus for each new recommendation, additional bonus offers, a vehicle program, and a pension plan.
Furthermore, you can take advantage of the auto-shipment option to qualify for an additional discount on their products.
Overall, when utilized properly, the compensation offer has the potential to generate a substantial income.

PM-International Review – What I Don’t Like
Subpar Products
There have been allegations that the main ingredient in PM International’s products is powdered sugar, which is said to offer no health and wellness benefits.
However, it is important to note that these are just allegations.
Furthermore, it is alleged that the beneficial components such as berries, herbs, and veggies make up a small proportion of the overall ingredients, potentially limiting their effectiveness as PM-International claims.
Overpriced Products
Additionally, the items are excessively expensive. It will be easy for you to find more affordable alternatives that yield identical results.
Otherwise, the competition’s prices will undoubtedly affect your marketing efficiency, which in turn will impact your profits and position.
Saturated Market
The firm operates within the health and wellness niche, which means they are one of many firms in this industry.
If you consider joining PM-International, be prepared to compete against larger companies that invest in thorough research and effective marketing strategies.
Low Success Rate
Network marketing is a challenging endeavour, with approximately 99% of people who join losing money. This fact positions Multi-Level Marketing as one of the least effective ways to generate income.
Unfortunately, there is nothing unique about PM-International that can change this reality.
Pay to Play
Here is an improved and more readable version of the text:
Another bad practice to note is the “pay to play” approach adopted by PM-International. When you first register, you are asked to purchase expensive packs to advance to the second-ranking faster.
This is yet another tactic to exploit new affiliates for their money.
Why I Don’t Recommend MLM…
- Virtually 99% of individuals in all multi-level advertising and marketing firms shed cash, according to the FTC.
- There are 38% even more opportunities for you to make money from your work
- The odds of you winning a lottery worth $10k among 10,000 people is 300 times higher than making money from MLM.
- According to the AARP Foundation, 47% of distributors of all MLMs lose their money.
- Of the remaining 26% that earn money, 53% of them earn less than $5000/year.
- 39% of that 53%, that are making $5000/year stopped because recruiting and offering lousy products to loved ones members threatened their relationships.
- You can forget about building a long-term organization with MLM because 50% of all participants stop within one year.
- 75% of individuals who joined MLM claim that they will never join any kind of multi-level marketing.
- A poll was carried out in 2018 among 1050 online marketing distributors as well as it concluded that the majority of them made 70 cents an hour and 20% of them did not make a sale. 60% of them made less than $500 in sales over the past 5 years and also 32% of them generated credit card debt to fund their network marketing participations.
PM-International Review – Conclusion
Let’s summarize once again at the end of this review: PM-International is a legitimate MLM company that allows you to make money by reselling its products. However, there are a few concerns to address.
Firstly, there is no available income disclosure from PM-International, which makes it difficult to determine how many people are truly successful. This lack of transparency raises doubts about the profitability for the majority of participants.
Secondly, the expensive nature of the products might pose challenges when it comes to reselling them. This could potentially lead to difficulties in recouping the investment.
Lastly, the business model heavily relies on recruitment, which raises questions about the long-term sustainable value of this venture.
While PM-International may not be classified as a pyramid scheme legally, it is generally regarded as an unreliable business model with a negative perception among many. As for my opinion, I choose to avoid such opportunities.
Thank you for reading my review of PM-International MLM. I would love to hear your thoughts and experiences with this company as well.
