Ambit Energy is known for its leadership in solar energy solutions and currently operates in 17 states across the USA.
The company offers competitive rates for a 1-2 year contract but instantly places customers on a variable price afterward, which appears exceptionally high compared to other energy providers.
As a result, there have been numerous complaints as evident in this Ambit Energy review. Additionally, Ambit Energy provides an opportunity to earn money as an “Independent Consultant” (IC), similar to other MLM businesses.
This resemblance is often why people claim that Ambit Energy is a scam, which I will address in my Ambit Energy review.

This acquisition has positioned Ambit to better serve the needs of both domestic and industrial consumers.
The success and continual expansion of Ambit Energy caught the attention of Vistra Power – another innovative company known for excellence.
As the leaders engaged in conversation, they discovered shared values such as honesty, advancement, customer-centricity, excellence, and excitement.
This led to their decision to join forces, with Ambit retaining its branding and MLM model.

Is Ambit Energy a Pyramid Scheme?
Ambit Energy is not a pyramid scam. Although it may bear some resemblance to a pyramid scheme, MLM is not a scam.
It involves marketing a service or product to customers. You can generate income by selling Ambit Energy services to others.
However, the key to making substantial money ($1,000+ a month) or covering consultant expenses is recruiting a significant number of people into the MLM business. This makes Ambit Energy somewhat akin to a pyramid scheme in disguise.

The reason lies in the fact that as a beauty representative, you have the opportunity to earn commissions by selling their products. Additionally, you can make money by recruiting individuals into the multi-level marketing scheme.

For over a year, Ambit Energy has been helping companies reduce their energy expenses. With a team of experts, they facilitate the process and save money by providing special benefits and competitive prices.
Ambit Energy and Green-e Energy
Ambit’s Green Plans are only available in certain areas, which limits their contractors’ ability to recruit clients. In contrast, Amber Energy values both the environment and its customers, and heavily promotes its green energy services.
Renewable energy is currently a rapidly growing market, especially with climate change being a prevalent topic of discussion. That’s why their Independent Consultants are eager to embrace this product, provided it is available in your state.
Solar Savings
Solar Savings from Ambit Energy is an additional option for environmentally conscious consumers.
Thanks to their partnership with Sunrun, a leading solar power provider, they are able to offer solar services in six out of their seventeen national locations.
While this is a great selling pitch, it is important to note that it is currently only available in six states.

Ambit Energy operates by leveraging everyday individuals as representatives to promote their services, allowing them to earn commissions.
Similar to other MLMs, Ambit Energy conceptualizes and manufactures its products. As representatives, we have the opportunity to resell these products and earn commissions.
Additionally, Ambit Energy works on a multi-level marketing (MLM) model, meaning we can also build a sales team and earn income from their sales.
However, some people may classify Ambit Energy as a pyramid scheme due to this MLM structure.
In my Ambit Energy review, I can confidently confirm that it’s a completely legitimate MLM.
The company offers natural gas and electricity services in 17 states across the USA. It’s important to note that rates may vary slightly between individuals and states, making it less straightforward than having a fixed price.

There are two primary ways to earn money with Ambit Energy:

It’s important to note that Ambit Energy, unlike pyramid schemes, does not solely rely on recruitment to generate income. Instead, you earn bonuses based on the purchases and sales made by the people you recruit.

To understand Ambit Energy’s business, it’s necessary to review their 4-page Compensation Plan. Within their Payment Strategy, you’ll discover additional benefits that you can immediately take advantage of, including the opportunity to earn free energy.
This rewarding MLM program can be achieved by introducing 15 consumers to Ambit Energy as their energy provider.
Ambit Energy offers trip rewards that can be earned through client referrals or by accumulating benefit points that can be redeemed for travel. Even if it doesn’t generate a profit, freebies are always welcome.
The Ambit Energy Compensation Plan aims to provide a concise overview of the three ways to earn income with Ambit Energy from their payment plan.
Immediate income
There are two main perks in the Ambit Energy MLM program: the client perks and group perks. These perks are paid on a weekly basis, allowing you to start earning money promptly.
By simply bringing in customers and supporting others to do the same, you have the opportunity to receive $100 by accumulating four consumer points.
These points can be earned by enrolling customers in an energy plan or a personal website package.
Additionally, you will be rewarded $100 for assisting others in achieving the same, highlighting the recruiting aspect of this opportunity.
Leadership income
When you register a new MC (Marketing Consultant) and they earn 4 client points within the first 4 weeks, you get the following benefits.
You will receive a recurring bonus offer based on the number of Marketing Consultant customers in your team.
Additionally, management bonuses are provided regularly, depending on client activity throughout the organization. All leadership benefits are determined by your level within the organization.
Remember, your bonuses will increase with the activity of your downline.
Residual income
The earning perspective of the majority of Ambit Energy consumers aligns with the goals of their Independent Consultants.
The amount of recurring commissions you earn varies based on the marketplace in the United States where you operate.
You can build a network of 6 levels in your downline and earn commissions based on their consumer activity. In other words, if your downlines make money, you do too.
MLMs are often accompanied by complex tables that many people find difficult to comprehend, leading to their aversion. To portray multiple income-generating avenues, these companies overcomplicate the process.
However, in reality, making money in MLMs boils down to two core actions: selling Ambit energy services or recruiting individuals.

How Much Does It Cost To Join Ambit Energy MLM?
Previously, Ambit Energy used to charge a one-time cost of $429 for registration, according to older reviews. However, they have now reduced it to $75.
In addition to the one-time fee, there is a monthly recurring cost of $24.95 for personal website maintenance.
Apart from these fees, there are no significant additional costs associated with joining this program.

Can You Make Money With Ambit Energy?
Yes, you can make money with Ambit. However, there are many challenges that come with network marketing. In other words, it’s difficult to succeed.
It’s possible to earn money with multi-level marketing. If you’re willing to put in the time and effort, you can generate some income while selling energy to people.
However, it’s important to note that the success rate with Ambit Energy (or any other) MLM is low. Over 90% of professionals make an average of $110 a year, which is less than their expenses to remain active.
The individuals who seem to make substantial money from Ambit are usually top salespeople who treat it like a full-time business, instead of a part-time side hustle.

To determine whether Ambit Energy is a scam or legitimate, it is advisable to read customer reviews and complaints.
Fortunately, conducting a quick Google search will provide access to Ambit Energy reviews on platforms such as BBB, Yelp, and Consumer Affairs.
On Yelp, things are not looking favourable for Ambit Energy, as they have received a low rating of 1.5 stars based on 115 reviews.
Consumer Affairs predominantly features Ambit Energy reviews that are primarily complaints. Out of 820 customer reviews, they have received a rating of 2.7 stars.

Ambit Energy has successfully established itself as a large company in this niche. In 2010, it was named the fastest-growing company in the USA, and by 2013, its valuation reached a billion dollars.
Their Product Is In Demand
The services offered by Ambit Energy are not disappearing anytime soon.
Unlike other crowded multi-level marketing companies that sell useless products, Ambit Energy provides services that are essential for both households and businesses.
Green Energy Provider
There has been a significant shift in public opinion when it comes to eco-friendly power.
More and more people are becoming aware of the dangers associated with global warming. As a result, they are seeking legitimate ways to contribute and make a difference.
This presents a significant opportunity for Ambit Energy and its representatives.

Ambit Energy Review – What I Don’t Like
Rate Increases
Based on the screenshots I posted in my Ambit Energy review, the most common complaints are about the expensive power rates compared to other options and significant cost increases after the 1-2 year contract ends.
Regular Monthly Costs
The cost of $24.95 per month for a replica website is exorbitant when compared to other multi-level marketing companies.
Despite this, you might expect it to include training and additional benefits, but those are just the basics. If you wish to learn how to attract visitors to the website, you will need to invest more in training.
Simply having a website does not guarantee that people will find it. The challenging part is determining how to drive traffic to the website, and unfortunately, Ambit Power does not provide assistance in that regard.
Ambit Energy Legal Actions
There have been several class-action claims, including one settled in March 2018 for $9.3 million. Additionally, there were other suits filed in 2015.
When there are multiple lawsuits against a company you consider joining, it’s not a good sign.
However, despite the complaints and lawsuits, Ambit Energy is a legitimate MLM company.
Compensation Plan
On their website, there is little to no easily accessible details about their settlement plan data.
Due to the fact that recurring payments are not as lucrative, you will need to bring in a large number of people to be profitable. This is the main reason why people give up and claim that Ambit Energy is a scam.

In my review, I mentioned that Ambit Energy is not a scam but also not the best multi-level marketing firm. On the positive side, their service is commendable and their settlement plan can be lucrative with a fair trial.
However, there are a few reasons why I don’t recommend this MLM or any other for that matter. One reason is the lack of transparency in their business, particularly in disclosing the earnings of their representatives. This raises doubts about whether their professionals are generating significant income.
Additionally, the increasing number of issues surrounding the firm further contributes to my hesitation in recommending Ambit Energy.
Nonetheless, Ambit Energy is a legitimate MLM, not a scam or pyramid scheme. If you believe in your skills, you can pursue it as a real business opportunity.
