FlexJobs is an online job posting service that offers different jobs from part-time jobs, remote jobs, freelance jobs, or work-from-home opportunities to people searching for them.
Sara Sutton founded the company, and it was launched in 2007.
The FlexJobs team hand-screens every job posting before uploading it to their site. Maybe that is why they charge a fee because they have to pay their staff to do this work.
That said, they may reject any commission-only jobs, low-paying positions, or any kind of positions that don’t fit their posting guidelines.
The organizations also have to pay to list their positions, so you will not find any cheap or stingy employers on the platform.

It is up to you what kind of jobs you’re looking for or what type of job will suit you.
The difference between FlexJobs from other online job platforms is that they won’t allow you to apply for a job that requires you to work outside of your local area.
This means that you won’t be wasting your time applying for a job you won’t even be considered for.
The jobs that you applied for will send you off-site to a third-party website to complete the application.
Each company’s application requirements are different. With so many of them, it requires you to set up an account with the job listing host site.
The process is a bit slow if you’re applying for a lot of jobs, you’ll likely have to set up many different accounts. Applying for a job with FlexJobs is still the same as other online job platforms.

This resource tells you more about the top companies listed on FlexJobs, You’ll also see past job listings, learn about any awards, and provide a direct link to its website.
It also says that you can create a personalized cover letter for each employer or company every time you apply for a job.
Skills Tests
FlexJobs offers skills tests where you can showcase your skills to employers. FlexJobs has over 170 different skills tests so that you can measure your skills and sell yourself.
You can take the test as many times as you want to improve your skill and test scores. You can also take a soft skills test to find the types of jobs and employers that fit you.
That said, you need to score 70% above to show it on your profile.
Showing your skill test results on your profile can increase your chances of getting hired for jobs.
Resume Profile
This feature allows you to create your professional-looking resume when you sign up with FlexJobs and use it when applying for a job.
You can create multiple resumes for you to use when applying for a job in different fields.
Member Savings Partnerships
Once you become a member, you’ll get discounts on different services from FlexJobs partner companies from time to time.
These discounts can vary from 10% to 50% off! Some of their partners include Dell, Audible, Grammarly, Quickbooks, and more.
Referral Program
FlexJobs has a referral program where they will reward you for inviting someone to join the company. Each time that person signs up with your referral link, you are eligible for a free month of service.
Not just that, those persons who sign up through referrals get a discount on the monthly subscription.

This is also why FlexJobs is different from other online job websites because here, they have career coaching experts to offer their service to you at a discounted rate.

But as I said in my review, this is one of my concerns about FlexJobs because there is a possibility that you won’t get a job right away, so you better spend a lot of time searching before your plan expires.

How Much Money Can You Make With FlexJobs?
To be honest, the amount of money that you can earn with FlexJobs is really up to you. If you are willing to invest yourself in it, well, the sky is the limit…

The good thing about FlexJobs is that they provide screening services that other sites don’t have and a guarantee that those jobs are scam-free.

I think the idea of exposing scammers is excellent. After all, most of us have been fooled at some time in our lives.
You have clearly done your research and like you, I found it difficult to follow exactly what FlexJobs has to offer, other than complicated sign up promises. For me, sites that offer simple, legal on line businesses will always win in the long run. Although far from being illegal, you have shown that FlexJobs is not a straight forward site that will excite and motivate people.

With the different plans available for you to select from, you should be able to find the job that matches your skillsets. The ability to make professional resumes can be critical when looking for the job you desire the most. Checking the dates on the jobs posted can be a problem, but if you are paying attention to the dates when applying then you should spot those fairly easily.

Here are couple of questions that arouse me in my suspicions. How do you know they are a legit company? Have you used them before from personal use or did you just do research on them?
In discussing the topic, I think everyone should do research on the FlexJob’s topic before sinking any amount of money into a company that charges upfront.
As far as experience goes I’ve signed up for temporary services before (also known as temp to perm for hire jobs). How does this compare to those?
In my opinion, I don’t think you should have to pay anyone for a temp to permanent job. I mean in all those temp to perm jobs, they have employees and staff they have to pay also and you don’t see any of them charging any fees up front to help you find a job even work from home jobs.

I think you are right when you say that paying to find a job will get many into thinking if this is a real platform. But is paying a subscription the only way to go? Maybe they could incorporate ads in their website to pay their expenses. I am sure many will not want to pay what is asked and will look for a job elsewhere just for that. Maybe they could at least have some short of trial period or a free subscription with limited features or something.

For example, with modern technology it is possible to teach students online from all over the world. In reality, many jobs can be done from a person’s computer and business can be conducted all over the world. Although Flexjogs offer services that can really help someone to find work, job seekers are already stressed financially and are already finding it hard without the pressures of paying extra money. Your recommendation is well worth considering but again takes time to build.

I have used Flex Jobs but however, find it annoying with all the emails I receive on daily basis. Even after unsubscribing from the job board I still get emails from them and would think this is now spamming which is illegal. Flexjobs does provide actual jobs, as they help me land my part part-time job but not many legimate ways to work from home jobs.

Hello, I was reading your article about FlexJobs. I noticed that it has more advantages and is a more secure platform for earning money. However, I didn’t enjoy the fact that people had to pay first in order to get in. It appears to be somewhat costly for me. Another issue I discovered with FlexJobs is the limited time you have to find the job you want.
However, thank you for pointing out that there are plenty of similar jobs that are both legitimate and free.

Since there are so many free platforms for jobs on the market, I personally wouldn’t go for FlexJobs, as you have to pay in order to get approved on their platform. But obviously, everyone is free to choose for himself and if other people don’t mind paying to find the same jobs they could get for free, it’s their business. I would probably stick to Upwork or Freelancer if I wanted an online job.
